+dapettit Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Happy Holiday all! I bought some live rook yesterday and found this in the styrofoam container. I belive it's a bristle worm. Never seen one this color before. Thanks, 1 Quote
Timfish Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 Definitely a bristle worm. Not sure why it's so red. Maybe a fire worm? There's one way to know for sure. Quote
mFrame Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 I'd have Tim come over and poke it with his fingers if you have any doubts. And great to see you online Dave! How's the tank doing? 1 Quote

Timfish Posted Tuesday at 02:53 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:53 PM I periodicly see cyano pop up. sometimes it's associated with a stress event that disrupts the corals. It can be a sudden drop in alkalinity or a sudden change in average temp (> 5°) or an unexpected coral death. And it can be several weeks after the event. 1 Quote
