Happy Holiday all!

 

 I bought some live rook yesterday and found this in the styrofoam container. I belive it's a bristle worm. Never seen one this color before.

Definitely a bristle worm.  Not sure why it's so red.  Maybe a fire worm?  There's one way to know for sure.  :grin:

I'd have Tim come over and poke it with his fingers if you have any doubts.

Tanks is going through a cyano break out. we thought we had it licked but ti came back with a vengance. Need to run some tests!

I periodicly see cyano pop up.  sometimes it's associated with a stress event that disrupts the corals.   It can be a sudden drop in alkalinity or a sudden change in average temp (> 5°) or an unexpected coral death.  And it can be several weeks after the event.
