+SChrisEV
These are awesome, I didn't know they existed! Does anyone know anything about them? Basic scopas tang care?
Timfish
Awesome! Fish collectors keep finding amelanistic specimens and hybrids. Care should be the same as normally colored fish or parent species.
+SChrisEV
Thanks Tim. I want this guy, but, worried about my current stock. I have a Gem Tang, Purple Tang, and Desjardini Sailfin tang, now. They all have been in the take for a while together with no real issue, adding a fourth Zebrasoma is pushing it, even in an 8 foot by 3 foot tank. Timfish
With the trio of tangs you have established now you'll probably have problems adding any tang species, not just another Zebrasoma sp. If you try it just be prepared to rehome someone on short notice. Also, as your tangs mature you might have aggression issues develop so that's something to keep an eye out for in the years to come. +SChrisEV
Understood on both accounts. I have decided to not purchase this fish. I have a okay sized frag area I could move a fish to if needed, but I have good fish harmony in the display now, so no need to upset that. Reburn
Like Tim said I would pass. Scopas tangs can be known to be very agressive too. I would have passed too with your current load of 3 zebrasoma.
stoneroller
I've seen these "blueface" scopas (pretty cool fish) at the dome on occasion. Within the last six months...
