Marvollo
Hey guys, I finally just set up my 125 reef tank and I am looking into flow options for mixed reef tank. Considering ice cap 3k or jebao cp150 for main flow and maybe another power head near the bottom of the tank behind the rocks. Any experience with the ice cap 3k or the cp150? I am trying to stay under $160 in cost. I have a reef angel controller but may or may not control the pumps if it gets too costly.
Sascha D.
I've used the Jebao CP150 pumps and here is my review if you're interested. I'm completely done with Jebao circulation pumps, but the DCT return pump has been working flawlessly for three years. IME you'll need at least two circulation pumps around 2,000 gph to create enough flow in that footprint. I personally use six Hydor Koralia Evolution pumps rated at 1,500 each plus the return. I bought them on sale for $23 each and your best bet for a sale in President's Day.
