Popular Post eddius-maximus
I used to be a photographer many moons ago (www.eddieobryan.com). I'm not sure why it never really occurred to me to combine hobbies, but here we are. My new Canon 100mm macro just arrived in the mail this evening. I was only able to snap a few shots before actinics kicked on for the evening, but holy cow. The detail! And the learning curve. This was grown from a frag I got from jolt. I believe it was a Wolverine (?). Rainbow BTA Green torch
Sierra Bravo
Very cool - looking forward to what you can do with your lens! A decent camera and lens are on my short list for this upcoming year.

+Blake Herman
Nice! I've been wanting to experiment with tank photography too. There's definitely a learning curve with this type of lighting, etc!
Popular Post eddius-maximus
Shaolin, my Starry Blenny. He's an idiot who keeps using my maxima clam as his personal throne but his eyebrow game is pretty on point.
+KimP
Your pictures are amazing! We used to do a photography meeting every January that had some great tips for taking pictures of a reef tank. I think there's a write up of the tips around the site here somewhere. Doesn't look like you need any of them though! Wow! eddius-maximus
....I'm going to use this thread as a dump of random photos, I hope no one minds. Full tank shot. Switching over to Orpheks was one of my good reef decisions. Tons of acro frags placed, I think it'll look really good once they've taken off.

Photo shop a santa hat on and its a sure winner!
takoattack
Are you post processing or adjusting white balance on camera at all? I find the most joy in using my macro lense when I don’t need to upload and edit and dump straight to my iPhone. My old canon entry level dslr has a custom white balance feature where you can use a previous photo to automatically set a new white balance. It ends up extreme with blues, but I find it fun. Examples below. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
