RyanS
I recently got a figure 8 puffer that’s bouncing around my freshwater tank, I know they’re born there and eventually move to brackish. I’ve also heard some even adapt and move out to full saltwater. I want to safely increase the water to that point so that I can add him into my 55 gallon saltwater tank. Anyone know the safest way I could do this? I use instant ocean which is 1/2 cup per gallon. What would be a safe amount to mix with water changes, and how often should I increase the SG? +Timfish
My guess, since salinity of brackish water is going to be variable depending on rainfall and tides a 25% change in salinity over a 12 hour period wouldn't be a problem.
