So, I broke down and sold my IM AIO 40 cube (couldn't get the filtration right for more complex coral) and upgraded to the 42 gallon Planet Crystalline series.

To be honest, Planet isn't as precise as I would have liked and the stand wasn't 100% square.  Inside dimensions were supposed to be 18 x 18 square, but it isn't and I had to build and stand within to hold the 18 x 18 sump which is actually square.  It was supposed to fit inside and drop down more.  but it doesn't.  So, i can't put the lower hinge on the door.  Any ideas on how to secure that lower part would be greatly appreciated.

this is the tank today.  Sorry for the glare.  I am testing some SPS now and added a holy grail and aussie gold torch.  These are under daylight.  I will post a blue later this weekend.

I lost two of my favorite wrasses, Naoko Wrasse (he found the only gap in the screen lid and jumped) and my Fairy Wrasse (couldn't handle the stress of the move). There is a lot of some awesome livestock in there, I can fill in specifics if anyone has any questions on something.

This whole build is a test for a 250 gallon in wall that will start next month.  This tank will transition to quarantine then frag tank.  At least that is what I am telling my wife.
Let's see the future home of the 250 gallon... Basically where are you knocking a hole in the wall?

Updates.
Had a weird issue with water quality a few months ago, couldn't solve. Sent off the ICP test, came back testing high in heavy metals. ICP came back and said they had an issue with their tester that was falsely finding heavy metals... After I had already treated. Jerks

Then my butterfly fish decided his favorite food was coral. He had expensive tastes and had to go, although not before he cause the untimely demise of a couple of my favorites. Jerk.

Then had a bubble algae outbreak. Getting rid of that slowly, and added more emeralds. One is now the size of a small blue crab. Soon to be Jerk

Everything else is good now and stuff is really starting to open back up and grow. Just started dosing Kalswasser as I was dropping alk and Cal bewteen water changes.

A couple images. Coloration hasn't come back yet, but it better than what it was a few weeks ago. What do you guys dose for color?

Your color looks pretty good to me.  I use KZ Pohl's Xtra, KZ Amino LPS, and KZ coral vitalizer to promote color.  Who can say if it actually works though ...

That rainbow Acan for example was the brightest and most colorful I have ever seen. Now it has dulled out a bit. That grafed Monti and beach bum Monti in the back came from you. They are sweet.

Wow what is that yellow/orange sps on the bottom middle?
If you're talking about the pic of the frag rock in the middle. It's either a WD or a Pink Lemonade. The WD is the fatter on on the 2nd row. The pink lemonade is the thinner one right on front.

If not, I have a ton of bubble gum digis. I bought one then out of pure luck got a mess more sent as freebies with other stuff I bought
