+mcallahan
i've read so many different opinions about lighting times & cycles that I wanted to throw the question to the ARC crowd to see what they thought. I've got a 55g FOWL tank that I'll soon be adding an bubble tip anemone to and eventually some easy-keeping corals like mushrooms. My lighting is 2x65w CF 12000K daylight and 2x65w True actinic lights. Currently my lights run from 12pm to 8pm so that I can observe the fish when I get home, but it seems to me that you could run your lights as long as the sun is out to imitate natural sun light. As the seasons change, then you could dial back your sunlight hours. But everything I've read says 6-8hrs of illumination for a tank a day. So what is everyone's lighting cycle look like? GKarshens
My actinics run from 11-11. My MH comes on at 2:30 and off at 10 pm.
