Mp-40 issue

I bought a used mp-40 awhile back. It's pretty old. It stopped working yesterday and was blinking the green and red error code. It also said stalled on my apex fusion. I took off the wet side, cleaned it real good and made sure there were no broken parts. Put it back on and it's still in stall mode. I took the wet side off again and put it on my other mp-40 and it works great. So I'm guessing the outside motor part is bad? Not really sure if I should just throw it away and get a new one or pay the 200 bucks for the new outside motor....anybody have this issue?

Just guessing, but one of the bearings probably seized up. Look up online on how to replace the bearings just so you can get under the cover and see if it still spins freely or if the permanent magnet is damaged. It's also possible something happened with the controller board and it's an electrical and not mechanical issue.

I'll definitely check that out thank you!

I'd definitely try to take it apart. I'm not bad with troubleshooting and repairing electronics and would be willing to have a look at it if you want some help.

I really appreciate the offer and may take you up on it if I can't figure it out, thanks!

Be really careful when the cover is off. It's fairly easy to damage the permanent magnet if it gets dropped, but it should be obvious if it is broken or cracked.
