CJohnson
Show me your canopies. I'm looking for ideas. If you went diy tell me what you used. I'm gonna buy supplies and build it this weekend. Sent from my XT1045 using Tapatalk

My system is a peninsula and the lids on both sides open like this...gives you more room to work in the tank without exposing the lights that end up blinding you. BornToHula
I used oak, but if I had to do it again I would use a lighter wood. The weight of the oak and lights is too much for the heavy duty lid stays. The lights do blind you when you open the top.
Dan H
We used solid walnut stock on the outside, which I must say turned out beautiful. These were all taken immediately after we first got the system set up.
