Captexas
I've got a 240g tank to setup and looking to find some rock to make a hardscape. It's freshwater with light to medium amount of plants. I'm not into the limestone/holey rock look. I really like the Seiryu/Ohko/Dragon stone look, but it's too expensive by the time you add in shipping for as much as I would like. I found some decent looking rock at Gallery of Pets, but it's still $6.99/pound. Anyone know of any places around Austin to San Antonio areas to find a good selection of rock? Reburn
I ordered mine from AFA/ADA and some off of the website planted tank.net. It was expensive. I have no idea where to get it locally.
jestep
You could go to a landscape supply and get granite or other non-limestone rocks, and use tools to break them into usable pieces. You'll most likely want to break them anyways, round and polished rocks look completely unnatural in aquariums. The one we get our landscaping stuff from sells boulders for around $.10 / lb or $200 / ton.
pabloescolar
Fish Gallery has a huge bin of used rock out back for $1/lb. Last time I looked it was a pretty diverse selection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
