jsr
Anyone know of a place to cut some baffels for a sump? I was looking for 1/4 glass that has been smoothed out on the edges. Also, is this somewhere you just walk in and tell them what you want and they cut it right there, or do you call ahead with size and pick them up on another day? Anyone know what this will cost? I am looking to get 4 pieces cut for a 30 long. James
Beretta
Binswangers on 183 & Burnet will do it. I think I got 4 panes of 1/4" glass that were roughly 8"x10", and it was around $25. IF you call it in, normally they can cut it either same day or have it next day.
jsr
Thanks. I just called and will take the tank to them tomorrow. They said it would be about $7 per piece. Any reason to use tempered glass? Do you think standard glass would be able to hold the water weight after being siliconed in the tank?
Beretta
I would think the 1/4" glass untempered would be strong enough for baffles. Just make sure they are siliconed in well. Edited May 13, 2008 by Beretta
