I know you folks are tired of this. I have checked all over wetwebmedia.

I found about 10 of this growing in the sand in our neglected 29. Just the red tentacles stick out of the sand. Can anyone id this?

The worms did not eat your zoas. You may have something else munching on them. These worms are just scavangers but do not activly hunt anything. They just sweep there tenticals out on the sand hoping to pick up food flying across the sand. I have many of them and they are totally reef safe. Some people do not like them because of the way the look but I think they are a good part of the clean up crew.
