migs
I noticed this slug/snail looking creature in my biocube tonight... it appears to be growing a shell, but it is pretty big to be without one... looks to have two antennas and a snout of some kind... any ideas? cmanning
I believe what you got there is a stomatella varia. They're beneficial to your reef aquaria and they graze on the rockwork. Here's link to read upon about 2/3 thirds down the article: http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-05/rs/index.php

+ACampbell
I have a bunch of those in my tank. They are very nocturnal. Thanks for the link!
iflytoohigh
i have some of those in my 3 gallon. i got to watch them spawn a few times now. it is like the discovery channel in my apartment. one of them will find a high point on the rock and start shooting sperm into the water flow. he kinda looks like a steam engine blowing some pressure off. kinda gross, but very neat at the same time. but mostly gross. i hate sticking my hand in that tank now. +ACampbell
LOL, I have had that happen a few times too. Usually after I stir up a bunch of sand, or something changes drastically.
