CJohnson
So I found this on jesteps build thread and I want to try it out as a skimmer stand also anyone have some experience with they want to share with me? jestep
I think Ty might be using one as well. Seems to be working great for me. I wish I had the time to do a more formal study on whether it actually supports denitrification, but it definitely seems to since my nitrates stayed at zero when my biopellet reactor failed last year. FarmerTy
I haven't run a biopellet reactor for awhile now and my nitrates are at a reasonable level... 5ppm. Whether this is because of the block or not is unknown as I have upgraded tanks as well so all the variables have changed. If it helps, the directions say to place it in high flow if you want it to aid in nitrification (conversion of ammonia/nitrite to nitrate) or in a slower flow area for denitrification (nitrate to nitrogen). Mine is currently in a low flow area.
