Aquatic-J
I am looking for some suggestion on reactor media to use. What is good and what is not so good. I have been looking at some that Pacific Coast Imports puts out that they claim is the best to use because it is dead coral skeletons. Any thoughts would help Thanks
Headless_donkey
If I am not mistaken it depends on what kind of reactor you have. Some reactors use the big media. While others work best with the small stuff.
Enigma13
If I am not mistaken it depends on what kind of reactor you have. Some reactors use the big media. While others work best with the small stuff. This is true. I know that Geo and Schuran reactors can use the large media. Do not know what others are compatible (I have a Geo). Some like Koralin, etc. can only use the smaller media like A.R.M.
bananags
what I read in the past is that size 2-3mm are best, not too small and not too big, also provide maximum surface contact area. but I guess depend on your reactor, if you run high bubble rate, more acidic--> easier to melt calcium ;-) Edited March 18, 2008 by bananags
