bigtoysrock
Ok so I have a purple pseudo that made it's way into the AIO filter side of my frag tank. The tank is a innovative marine fusion 20. The fish is in the return section of the back. The return section extends all the way to each side under the filter sections, so he can easily escape to hide capture. Anyone have ideas on other ways on how to catch this guy without sitting there for hours with a net (already done that and have a shirt)?
jolt
Can you find some way to block off the sections temporarily so he cannot move away?
Dean
A small bottle trap with some garlic enhanced food would do it. They won't resist food if they are hungry. As long as he can get his body past the funnel you will nab him.
bigtoysrock
Ok so a bottle trap will not work due to size. This is going to take some time for sure. Guess next step is to try to get something to block it off.
+KimP
Are you able to drain that part of the tank just long enough to get him? It's a lot easier when they can't do much swimming.
Makena95GT
Idk what type of fish that is but with smaller fish sometimes i just siphon them out into a bucket with a hose large enough to fit the fit
bigtoysrock
Finally got that little *******! After 2 straight hours I went and got one of those flexible tank dividers and trapped him.
