+Mlaw
Yesterday I noticed that my RBTA had split. I caught it in mid split and could see it still attached by a tentacle but later in the day it was two totally separate anemones sitting at least 3 inches apart and no connections. e I wake up this morning and only have one anemone. Back the same size as pre split. I can't really tell but I think they both have their foot in the same hole and are pulled in tight together so as to appear to be one. Is this common? jestep
Mine typically run away from each other which I think is natural since the whole purpose of splitting, when it's not due to them being mature, is for survival. Definitely not saying it doesn't or couldn't happen though.
Woods
Yes, I have had mine split before only to stay in the same hole together for several weeks before moving far apart. Usually one of mine do go for a short walk after splitting though so staying together is not a super common occurrance but does happen... I saw no negative effects from them staying together. +Mlaw
how long should I wait before feeding them again? I can't see the mouth because they are bubbled up pretty hard.
Woods
I would say wait at least a week . If they just split, the mouth is still on the side and beginning to center itself.. once more centered you can begin to feed and from my experience that is around a week or so...
