Wade
For a rarity I'm not finding any definitive information which sea slugs are not going to poison my tank when they die. I see plenty of them for sale, but don't want to make any assumptions. Are they really all that dangerous?
esacjack
i havent had any huge issues with mine. I had a spanish dancer until recently, traded to another reefer for a few frags. If you can, check them out... they perform a beautiful midwater column show!
Timfish
I've never known of any causing problems when they die. Considering how many Bergia nudibranchs have been added to systems there should be some anecdotal reports.
Wade
After doing some more research I believe I have them confused with cucumbers.
esacjack
i was pretty sure thats what you meant. I had a yellow cucumber, which didnt make it through a tank move. You'll want to be careful with cuc's of any kind. Additionally, you'll want to be cautious if you have a wrasse, or damsel in the tank. Both have been known to nip at the feeders. Keep carbon on hand.
Wade
I think I'll just stay away from cuc's. I may get a slug at some point though. Do wrasses typically pick at them as well? I have a six line.

I have a six line. If you get a nudi/sea slug, yes.. you'll have a heck of a time with a 6 line. If you get one of the larger sea slugs may not be much of an issue. Sascha D.
http://www.chucksaddiction.com/cleanupcrew.html I've had my Tiger Tail cucumber for a few weeks with no problems. The Honolulu Aquarium keeps a black cucumber in every tank. They're sold as "edible" cucumbers. Liveaquaria.com also has a fancy version of it, but the same one. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=497+502+707&pcatid=707. If you buy their "build your own" CUC, they sell them for $7 each.
