Wade
I received two new items and have them in quarantine, but was curious if these fall into the group that can just be dipped and put into the DT? The lobo is about the size of a small orange and the ricordia is a single small mushroom. Suggestions?
jestep
I would probably just do an iodine dip on them. Unless there's a bunch of rock or skeleton they're attached to, you should be able to see most unwanted hitchhikers if there are any. Wade
All I have for dips is Bayer and CoralRx.
jestep
I would do CoralRx then. If you have some reason to think there's stuff on the coral you don't want, then definitely QT or use bayer as well. But if it's from a fairly trustable source I still think you'd be ok without bayer dip.
mFrame
In the last few months I've gotten into the habit of using the CoralRX. After seeing what has come off of frags from even trusted sources, I'll dip all corals now.
Wade
I'm down with the dipping, just curious on the quarantining afteerwards.
RobR
IMO if you have the resources to QT it's never a bad idea and won't hurt anything. I think most people don't have the resources so that's why they don't. I'm like the others with corals dip em and into the dt. Fish I QT all of em for at least six weeks...
