Toxiq Reef
Ok I've seen several of these small worms in my tank lately, and it's been untouched for about 6months or so, I dip everything, and started with dry rock.. pics below, what is it? Timfish
Looks like, or at least some type of cucumber. Anything with tenticles like that around the mouth I would consider a beneficial scavenger.
Toxiq Reef
Thanks, they are skinny and can stretch quite a ways, not very large however
Toxiq Reef
also they generally hide in the light
Wade
Aren't cucumbers risky because if they die they poison the tank?
Timfish
Some cucumbers have the nasty habit of eviscerating themselves when they get stressed. Some can be quite large and it can be a shock to the ecosystem when this happens. The species that crawl around scavenging I haven't had any problems with and have and some reproduce successfully. Toxiq Reef
Here are more photos, poor quality, sorry. There are roughly 10-11 of these that I can see and count, what might eat these things? It's about impossible to pull them from the rocks
bige
Looks like one to me. Mine stay in the substrate. I wouldn't worry too much about it. It will probably hide/retract when lights are on.
