Makena95GT
I figure most of us are into documentaries. Around this time ever year I watch Blue Planet and Planet Earth. I only have Netflix and Amazon Instant Video. Oh, and Hulu. No cable TV over here Anyone have any good suggestions for what to watch that might be interesting? (Bio)³
I think online you can find reruns of the NOAA stream from the recent expedition. They are also asking for crowdsource style of identifying since SO much was covered on the journey. It will give you a tutorial on how to Id stuff, and then you get to go through pics and ID the creatures and environment. Others will see the same pics and also ID them to get a general consensus of what is there. I REALLY enjoyed the NOAA stream, kept me up till about 3-4 am each night watching recordings from the day. jestep
I actually think the Disney Oceans is one of the best general ocean related documentaries. Not sure if it still is but it used to be on netflix. I think it's more entertaining and visually better than blue planet. A little cheesy narrating but the quality of the videos is amazing. The turtle incredible journey is amazing as well which is currently on netflix. The Imax documentaries are pretty good as well but they're not available on netflix anymore, unless you still have a DVD subscription, they used to have almost all of them available for streaming. Living Sea is my favorite by far, Into the Deep is probably second, but all of their ocean related ones are pretty good.
