JCAB Posted June 10, 2013 Share Posted June 10, 2013 Hi there. I have an acan with a red center that is slowly turning orange. I use ecoxotic panorama pro leds. I assumed that it was getting bleached, but searching on the internet I have found many posts that state that the problem seems to be caused by leds (something about lacking the 420nm wavelength/UV). Brooks Posted June 10, 2013 Share Posted June 10, 2013 This happens... Acans are found in lower-lit areas naturally. High lighting exposure can turn your reds, into more of an orange. They also seem to like NO3 a little more. I've kept rainbows that haven't changed color at all in lower-lit areas, and keeping NO3 a little higher.
