So after fooling with the RO/DI unit stuff for way longer than I should have...I finally filled her up last night! I stayed up way too late doing this...

...and that's how she sits now. My next goal is to set up my osmolator. That is, if I don't immediately fall asleep after work today...yawn.gif

I really like the rock work. Why no teeth on overflow? Also those glass hole kits say they can handle way more than they can. I have the same kit con dientes.

Thanks, I came up with a few designs for the scape...ended up liking this one alot!

Why no teeth? Personally, I don't like the teeth (I don't hate them either)...I just think they're a little distracting. In my experience, toothless overflows skim a bit better as well. I can tell it can flow more than what I'm giving it...but I'm pretty happy with how it is right now. It's pretty quiet, with very minimal, faint gurgling (if put your ear up to it). A bit slower through-sump-flow just means more contact time.

Definately liking the minimalistic look. Don't see a stocking list but if you do plan on putting fish in I would suggest getting a small piece of egg crate off someone and cutting it to the size of your overflow and gluing it inside. If you spray it black you won't be messing with your feng shei.

Thanks! I'm really liking the scape too. Undecided on fish...I'm really looking forward to inverts, that's my real interest. Shrimp and crabs in particular, but I haven't ruled out fish completely. The overflow has Enkamat over the opening...think that'll keep most life out of the sump?

Love it. After looking at the rimless reef setup (http://www.rimlessreef.com/), I've been hooked on a very open layout. Great to see other open aquascaping. Is that an ADA stand or something else?

Thank you and...agreed...minimalistic in the display is the way to go! It's actually an Ikea stand that just so happens to fit the 60-P perfectly.

looking very nice.

I like the way it came out. Great lighting also......

Thank y'all! Y'all are too kind!

I got my Tunze Osmolator setup last night. Took a little while to get my salinity down to where it needed to be (I guess I added too much salt). I got my sensors where I want 'em now. Also mounted the controller. biggrin.png

I figure 5 gallons of RO/DI should last me quite a while for top offs. I might grab another one of these this weekend, that way I can have one filled and ready to swap once this one runs out.

I'm gonna try to seed the tank with some DrTim's One & Only. Anyone ever use that stuff? I have some pure ammonia I can use to feed the growth.

Setup looks great so far! What pump are you using for your ATO?

Probably the stock tunze osmolator pump

Exactly. It's the standard Tunze metering pump. I found some black tubing for it at Lowes that worked out great for me.
