ManImTheMan
so I have a jbj 28g HQ 150mh and 2 18w pc actinics, and a ecoexotic (magenta) led strip. so about a month ago my ecoexotic led strip stared blinking once every second briefly. I unplugged it as I have been working a lot. then today my actincs started doing the same thing? I switched out the power source on the ecoxotic strip. cause I have the same strip but a different color on another tank I have. and the light were still doing the same thing? anybody have any ideas whats wrong? +Mitch
no. have you tried isolating the lights to another circuit?
esacjack
you need to start looking for a grounding fault, or water in the power supply/power plugs. I've also seen this happen with cheap light timers. I have one that drives me freaking crazy. It was recently replaced by a proper controller though. It could be as scary as saltwater in the connection, or as simple as you're drawing too much power for the rating of the timer.
