Niko's Reef
I picked up a black leopard a few weeks ago. I hardly ever see this fish. He pops up every so often from the sand, but never hangs out too long. I say I've seen him about 5 times in the 3 weeks I've had him. I never see him eat though. Whenever I see him, I try to break out some food, but he isn't interested and usually just buries himself agian. I've tried cyclopeeze, brine, mysis, flake, pellets, seaweed, but nothing works. He looks healthy, but I'm not sure how? Do I have a crap load of bristleworms I don't know about? Is there something else I should try? Any info would be appreciated. Derek
Have you tried live brine? I had one that loved frozen mysis but just disappeared one day.

mrshall1027
Do you have a dense pod population? Try feeding him artic pods.
mrshall1027
Our leopard wrasse wouldn't eat any food we gave her for a few days, she just picked at pods. Now she eats everything we put in there including nori.
Bpb
Man best of luck. I've heard those are wicked hard to get eating. Leopard wrasse is one of my dream fishes I just don't think I'm experienced enough for them. Hope it starts eating.
kingjames
prawn roe is what it took to get mine to eat, but they are jumpers and found him on the floor one day
Niko's Reef
I got a pretty good pod population, so I guess he could be surviving off of those. I also have a red scotter blenny that loves pods as well. I'll have to look into the artic pods and prawn roe. Not sure what either of these are. Going to a lfs store tomorrow, so hopefully they'll have something for me.
