diy 40 gal sump

Big Clay

Recommended Posts

I made my 55g into a 3 chamber sump for my 180g DT. It was very easy using acrylic and Silicone. You just have to decide where you want the baffles, cut them to fit into place, mark the outside so they are straight and then Silicone in place. I waited 3 days to make sure the silicone was dry and then started filling. It has been in operation for 18 months and works very well and still holding very strong.

You can use glass as well for the baffles but since I have live rock in my sump, I didn't want the baffles breaking if a rock fell against them...

If you want to come look at it, feel free to PM me.
