mrshall1027
We have a 75 gallon tank with 20 gallon sump. We need a calcium reactor that is small enough to fit in our stand next to the sump and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a smaller unit or any advice on doing this DIY. FarmerTy
Dapetit, the host for the January meeting built his own. You should pick his brain if you can make the meeting.
+Capt. Obvious
Geos are pretty good
mrshall1027
The Geos do look nice, but the Reef Octopus look good too and have great reviews. They are also ~$150 less which covers the cost of the CO2 tank and media. After looking more into DIY options, the material cost is too close to what it would be to just buy one and save the headaches and time. Anyone else have any more input or recommendations? I'm hoping to purchase one by the end of next month.
HoneysReef
In my opinion, you can't go wrong with GEO. I run a 624 on a 300 gallon system but I know he makes smaller units. His craftsmanship is second to none and the customer service is great.
kuyatwo
Aquamaxx makes a small ca reactor. I own a geo 624 also and I really like the build quality Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mrshall1027
We went with the Reef Octopus. There are a ton of positive reviews on the model that we ordered, so hopefully we will have a good experience as well. Thanks for the input!
