+Capt. Obvious
take your time! Im shocked it still worked, havent used it in 5+ years. Lovin the build! It worked perfectly (with a minor learning curve) ... got in a tiny bit of trouble...for using it indoors...and it scared my dog a bit.

+Capt. Obvious
Another step closer to finishing this light (continued thanks to (Bio)3 for the rivet gun loan) should be finished with the light by the end of the weeekend
+Capt. Obvious
I dramatically reduced the amount of rock in the tank as I felt it looked a bit crowded. Now have ~5 lbs. and in the process found a cerith hitchhiker (woohoo freebies). I also picked up a flourescent yellow maxi-mini for $17.99. He is roughly the size or a nickle. And a full tank shot showing the new rock work

+Capt. Obvious
Well the first 90% water change was a success (albeit a very slow one) If I were redesigning this tank today, I would use a larger John guest bulkhead for the drain
Stephen
Looking good. I really dig the plumbing and light fixture.
Peter Gott
I think the new rockwork is much improved. With it so full you really didn't get the advantage of it being a drop-off tank--but this is awesome.
ct67stang
After reading a few threads I decided to go with gu10 led lighting for a few reasons (the main being cheap, can be wired with lamp cord, no driver necessary, and dim able with a common household dimmer switch) I was able to find an eBay source from china that sold 3x1 watt in white and blue and a 2blue 1 white configuration as well as sockets for near dirt pricing. I am pretty impressed with the output as seen here: i saw similar ones on ebay (if not the same ones) how would these do for coral growth? do you know?
