subsea
Morning sunlight filters into tank for about 30 minutes. I hope you enjoy pictures. I know that I am. Patrick
Bpb
That's pretty awesome. I really wish I could use a solatube as my main daylight. Love how natural sunlight makes the tank look.
jestep
I do the same thing on my tank. It gets diffused sunlight for about 30 - 45 minutes a day. I've seen large tanks using solatubes with actinic supplementation They had to ad-hoc a method to block light as needed as the intensity was simply too much. I think it would be a worthy way to light a large tank with absolutely no cost once it's setup. Add some actinic LED's and you don't have to worry about the lighting for 10 years. BBMarlin
Cool pics subsea. It's interesting when my LPS get direct sunlight through one of my windows (maybe 20 minutes a day this time of year). My acans and chalice get all excited and inflate/extend their tentacles, neat to see.
bige
The shadows are awesome. I open my back door when I clean my tank. The sunlight shows so much detail. It's a totally different look. Looks great Patrick. Thanks for sharing.
