FragIt
it has to be before 3 but if someone out there has rock I bet that they also have "sand" IMO LR is all you need to start up your tank...IMO you do not need or WANT anyone elses crud from there tank........The LR should contain all neccesary biological "seeds" neccessary..... Live sand.....Think the detritus that falls to the bottom......uneaten food....poop.....etc...... all kinds of stuff that if it were MY tank I would not want to introduce......but if you still want it I can come by and Ill leave a scoop on the porch if you want..... Atxnightrider44
so what do you think about the live sand that petco sells?? that says it straight from sea.. and should have the Bactria that jump starts the cycle too along with LR right?? FragIt
go out and buy you a bag of crushed coral ......it should be $1 per lb.........Some like the larger grain size for increased water flow and it traps less detritus......But as for spending money on anything from petco.......nope......I wouldnt do it........I bet there are tons of people with leftover half used bags of crushed coral......I am not familiar with the product you are referring to at petco specifically, but if you have seen who and how there tanks are cared for and by.........well that alone should steer you away from them. if you want to call me and talk it would be easier, but up to you. 512 317 3862
