Buck Neck Sauce

While I clame 100% Cajun backgrond (I guarronty), I lived in the middle of red neck country for thirty years near DeRidder, La. The "Red Eye Gravy" was added to my favorite recepie list from my many wildgame gravies that I have cooked at campsites and in my home. My brother in law from NW Austin gave me a deer which was killed by a car as he jogged near his home. Less than 90 minutes later, when he went back with his truck to remove the deer, someone had already cut off the head and rack, leaving 120 pound carcas. As he was assisted, with picking up deer from the ditch into his truck bed, the homeowner adjacent to ditch came over to also assist with the removal. The homeowner thanked him for removing the deer as he had been quoted $300 (the weekend rate) to remove deer. I now have a 12 pound neck roast cooking in a gravy that is smelling up my house. Some smart people told me to slow down and smell the roses, I decided that the gravy smell also works well.

Are you sure that Deer didn't trespass on your property? I bet who ever took the head and rack is probably bragging about how good a shot they were. This house that we bought in Sept had all kinds of heads mounted on the walls. Only thing about that was that they were all fiberglass. We still get catalogs from Cabelas for that guy.

Are you happy with your wavemaker? I am adjusting my thinking on my 135G fresh water planted tank. I have always liked lagoon setups but have never maintained a lagoon species biotheme, I am verry interested in your technique and process. What is that large red branch stick (gorgonian or sponge) in the top right of your tank? What is Baton Rouge doing in the top right of your tank?
