Hey folks, I feel like an utter idiot, but I got a new Plusrite 20K bulb for my-to-me Solana 34 and can't for the life of me figure out how to open up the disco ball pendant to get the new bulb installed. Any help is much appreciated!

I was going to say I've got a real nifty 5 lb sledge hammer with a modified handle that's only 8" long I borrowed from a friend of mine about 27 years ago that works really well in tight places smile.png

Never mind... figured it out... finally turned up a PDF of the owner's manual online.

Yeah, the Solana disco ball seems a bit intimidating at first, but you just pull the rim off with a screwdriver and voila, light bulb access. How is temperature on your tank? The 150mh is literally baking things if I leave it on for more than a few hours at a time, and this is with a strong fan blowing whenever the light is on.

If I leave the glass lid on it gets above 80, but if I leave the glass lid off, I've had the temp drop as low as 73. This tank has only been up a couple weeks so I'm still getting everything dialed in and thankfully the corals are tolerating all the swings okay so far. I'm only running the bulb about 5 hrs a day right now since the last tank had a PC light. I didn't get around to changing the lighting cycle for a couple of days after putting it together and managed to turn a completely pink powerhead totally white, lol... also fried the edge of a monti cap but it's coming back nicely. I think it likes the MH way more than PC as this is the first time I've seen growth out of it.
