rgoodwill
My parameters are in check but the two mushrooms I have in my 37 gal will not full expand they just stay shrivelled. Oddly, they look amazingly healthy with great color so I suspect maybe the light or flow is too great? I am just wanting to know if anyone has had a similar problem and how they handled it. BTW I have Zoa's in the tank and they are in perfect condition.
polarbear
Are the mushrooms new or have they been in the tank for awhile?

subsea
Most variety of mushroom prefer low light and subdued flow. I have kept mushrooms for years under low light. Certain species, such as Ricordia, require more light. I have also noted that the rougher the texture of the mushroom, the more likely to benefit from heavy feedidng. The bigest surprise I got from this was an Elephant Ear Mushroom that eat a mudium sized Yellow Tang. Try moving them to an area with less light and flow. I have seen results within a few hours after moving.
