FragIt
just put on 3w led in my jbj................They were under a 150 mh........I have no experience with LED........I have the fixturre 2" above the water and do not have any lenses.......I am running almost 1:1 with blue white...........What is acclimation time and process? Should I start my lights off at 30% or where is a good place to start? Then do I gradually increase over the course of days? Or let them get acclimated and then jump to 60%? Sorry if this is unclear but I am very new to the LED world......I am keeping mostly SPS and monti......Thanks for input
Michae52
Be careful with the monti. I have a similiar setup and I burned a couple of small areas. Yes do 25-30 and then go up. The light is more intense than you think. I still have your towel and need to return it.
Brooks
You switched to 3w of LEDs from a 150w MH? That is not much light, especially on a tank like that. I would not use that as a primary source of light. Maybe in addition to your MH? EDIT: Could you link the LED you got? I was using 15w on my 5g alone, so you might consider more of the strips. Brooks
OH! Makes much more sense. What are the optics on them? That is a lot of light! Start them out at 20% and move them up gradually.
