ballistic.reefer Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 was just wondering how long does it usually take your sps corals to set a base on live rock or over the epoxy you use? i took a look at my green slimer, it seemed to white out a little at the base where the super glue/epoxy combo i used. and i was just wondering how long it would probably take for it to base and then keep growing? +Hydro Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 usually a month or so, maybe a little longer depending on the coral. They do turn white where you glue them, that is normal. Quote
offroadodge Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 also, some corals grow a little base and then UP alot, mine seem to do both. Quote
+Lamont Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 My green slimer has former a base after 1 month. It has great polyp extension and color. I use to wonder the same thing. All of the sps I have has a base now. Some of it has scared me. I thought it was dying, but it was just the glue I used. Quote
Timfish Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 What they said. If you've done several frags don't be surprised if they grow at different rates also. Quote
