What am i missing? and where do the parts that i do have, go? lol this is a bit different than a hob ive noticed. lol and if anyone knows a good place do buy the orings im missing, that would be greatly appreciated. thanks the pic with the tile in the background is what i have, the other is what i can find pics of online. pbnj Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 That's a discontinued Current USA Fission Recirculating Skimmer. Here's a link to the product manual: Fission Recirculating Skimmer Quote
ReefNewb Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 Thank you. Very much. Looks like I have it all. Minus the Orings. Lol hopefully lowes can help me out there. Lol as for a 15x9 footprint. That mean I must have a 15"x9" area in my sump for it or is there something I'm just not understanding? Quote
pbnj Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Your footprint dimensions will also have to take into consideration the size of the pump that will feed the skimmer with water (not included). Quote
ReefNewb Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 So pretty much set my fully assembled skimmer in the sump, leave some space on the sides and put in the baffles right? Quote
Jessie Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 FYI - Lowes and HD dont carry O rings. You'll have to take the part(s) that need them to autozone or advanced auto and have them find one that fits. I had to do the same for one on my mag drive. Quote
Timfish Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Pool Werehouse Supply carries all kinds of Orings. Quote
ReefNewb Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 Didnt think of that. They deal with alot of pumps and stuff. Thanks a bunch Quote
ReefNewb Posted March 13, 2011 Author Posted March 13, 2011 After all this, I did some measurements on the stand, the skimmer won't fit under the stand. Quote
