I noticed one of my peppermint shrimp nipping at my treasured wellso last night. I’ve noticed over the past few weeks the wellso has not inflated as much as it has in the past. Are peppermints nippers? If they can be, anyway I can mitigate this? I've had the peppermints for 8-9 months and that are pretty large, probably around 1.5 - 2".

I've cut back my feeding significantly over the past few weeks due to a diatom outbreak, I'm wondering if maybe the peppermints are hungry and have turned to my corals?

Water parameters are in check:

ELOS

KH 7.5

Ca 420

NO3 2

PO4 0

thanks

Yes, I had a bad experience with a peppermint tearing into both a frogspawn and into some yellow colonial polyps. Feeding levels could be correlated but I personally will never put another pepp in one of my tanks, too much risk.
