I saw this site today and I though it was a joke at first. On further inspection I think it's actually legitimate - http://www.jellyfishart.com/

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't jelly's extremely difficult to care for not to mention that a lot of them have nasty stings. I'm completely stereotyping here, but the people in the pictures don't exactly look like the types to be taking on any advanced, possibly dangerous, saltwater inhabitants. I'm not sure what sort of audience they're trying to sell to but seriously this is ridiculous.

Some jellies are probably "harmless" not having anymore of a sting than some of the corals we keep. It's just some will kill you :hmm: If I'm not mistaken I think about a dozen species are now being bred in captivity so as long as the filter system is designed right (so the jellies don't get sucked into it), they're fed properly and maintenance is done correctly they should do fine. They almost certainly have to be maintained as a single species tank.

+1 to what timfish said, saw a thread last week about a guy keeping a common jellyfish in a 1-3 gallon jar. I'll see if i can rustle up that link.

Definitely cool looking. I really like the blue spotted ones in the gallery a few weeks ago. I can say that after reading a few articles, the care doesn't look like much fun.

From what I gather, they basically require a round tank so they don't get stuck, SPS+ water quality with continuous feeding and/or MH+ lighting, depending on the species. Have fun...
