subsea
http://www.reefaquariuminfo.com/Refugium.html As this article states, a refugium can feed your reef tank and process your nutriants. Nutriant recycling is attained when you prune your macros and feed the reef fish. It is also attained when numerous micro-inverts grow in the refugium and are feed to the fish by the uptake pump. Nutriant export is attained when you prune your macros and remove them from the tank. I prefer to select a seaweed that is ediable and eat it. http://ag.arizona.edu/azaqua/ogo.htm This variety is Gracilariqa Parvispora and has been sold for years as Tang Heaven Red by Indo Pacific Sea Farms.
