Derry
I'm curious to get people's opinion on the minimum tank size needed to keep a naso tang fairly happy. I know the answer the fish books give. However, I want to hear from those of you who've kept a full-grown naso for a couple few years. How big is just getting by, and how big is reasonably comfortable?
Brooks
I cannot speak from experience, however, I've read into them quite a few times. You will have one side that will argue, and with good backing, that they belong in no less than 500g tanks. However, the other side will argue, also with good backing, that they can live happily in less than 200g.
fishypets
Try one in your nano Brooks... You could call it the Naso Nano

+mcallahan
dapettit has one in his 180(?). My personal opinion is that 180g with no less than 5 feet of width would be the minimum size tank I'd put one in. Is there any real evidence that these fish need more room other than "they are swimmers so they need a lot of room to swim...". I wonder (and doubt) that any studies have been done that actually measure the stress level of fish like nasos/tangs that are put in small tanks to see their reaction
