Will
i have some zoo's that are becoming invasive and i need to halt their growth, how do i do this? shoot them with kalk paste?
JamesL
This seems counter productive to actually keeping a living coral. I am sure something like kalk-paste would retard growth for a while, but once the edge healed, the zoas would start growing again (if the whole colony did not die initially). Maybe frag them, and then sell/trade them away?
Will
i would but they are attached to the rock at the base of my rockscape that my chalice's are also attached to so i cant take it out of the tank. i guess i could try to scrape them off. just goes to show you that forward thinking coral placement is always a good thing
+mcallahan
I did a show on how to frag them in tank. Check it out:

Derekreefer
I am able to "peel" my zoas off the rock they are growing on.

Ironic that the best sign your reef's doing well is somebody's trying to kill somebody for space I've used a thin kalk-paste in a syringe with a large bore needle to kill them or alternatively a credit card to scrap/peel them off rocks. afgun
I would second the fragging comment... give the frags away if you must, but do that rather than killing 'em ! In a few weeks hopefully I'll be ready to take all the free frags you want to give
