wizardx322
so i am wondering what is the prefered bulb in single ended bulbs, i know with hqi 14k pheonix is popular. I have 250w se mh and will replace the bulbs soon so would like some opinions. (my top 3 choices so far are 14k pheonix, 14k hamilton, or 20k radium) which bulb have yall seen give the best color and growth for coral? my tank is mainly sps. Timfish
What were your corals grown under? I've got pink acros that look better under 14 or 20K but pink birdsnest looks best under 12K and goes purplish/orange under mixed 12K & 14K (although intensity is a factor too). From what I've seen in my tanks florescing pigments tend to be enhanced by 14K & 20K MH while nonflorescing pigments tend to be enhanced by 12K MH (and presumably 10K & lower).
