Will
Ok so my ALk is low, but is that necessarily a bad thing? Right now it is at 5, but it was 4 yesterday. and it seems to be staying in this range. my tank looks good but i am seeing slow growth in my sps. Ca is at 500. i am carbon dosing and i know this tends to lower your alk. My ph is 8.
MushroomXombies
I dont think a low Alk is going to kill anything. Its a swinging Alk that dangerous. I can tell you thats a low # for SPS. I keep mine at 8.
+mcallahan
My alk stays between 4-5 and everything looks great and my SPS is growing very well If everything is good, I wouldn't worry about it
Timfish
. . . If everything is good, I wouldn't worry about it +1 If it was my tank I'd try to raise it but your animals are telling you it's not a big deal.
