sfarris002 Posted April 29, 2010 Share Posted April 29, 2010 So i am adding a ATO to my new tank and was wondering if I can put the water line into the pump side of skimmer? Gonzobob Posted April 29, 2010 Share Posted April 29, 2010 The water line can go into the pump side of the skimmer, no issue there. One thing to look out for, if your water line for the ato is transparent make sure it's not in the light (fuge or tank) as algae can an will grow inside the tube. Gonzobob Posted April 29, 2010 Share Posted April 29, 2010 Arrrgg, you're right. For some reason I was thinking about the return from a chiller. One note, make sure your hose runs into the tank / sump above waterlevel to ensure you can't start a syphon.
