Robb in Austin
AndrewT. While I appreciate the desire to breed your dog, please re-consider. If you cannot justify this as a betterment of the breed breeding, don't do it. Which, if you aren't showing the dog in the ring.... And generally, when showing pics for breeding purposes one should show confirmation type pics. If you need to Google confirmation to know what I am talking about; don't breed. Go to the pound/humane society/local rescue group to see what happens to a metric tonne of dogs that are bred without thought. I hate to get on a soapbox about this....Dena! You're turn. Proud Dad to all rescue animals.
AndrewT
Im not "breeding with out thought"... i want puppies that carry the same traits as my dog so im looking to breed. im familiar with the humane society and we in fact have adopted from the humane society before, however im not looking for a "new puppy" i specifically want yorkie pups and like i said pups that carry the traits my dog possesses. Id like to respectfully disagree with you in the sense that breeding to show is the only reason a dog should be bred. Not all dogs that are bred are bred carelessly, and not all pet owners are irresponsible. in fact all of the pups from his littler have been very well taken care of. Ill agree in the sense that i dont think they should be bred in effort to make a quick buck. However, when we find a female to breed with our puppies will be kept in our home with us. Im not looking to breed champion dogs, so i dont feel it necessary to provide "conformation pictures". Im merely looking for someone who enjoys the intelligence and affection that come with the breed, and who wouldn't mind lending a hand in helping us find a mate for our yorkie.
