joshman1204
Well thanks to Mark I got my new Hannah phosphate meter today and I must say this thing is awesome. I am a little bummed though because I was hoping it would show that I had a phosphate problem so I could convince my wife we need a new BRS dual media reactor. Unfortunately it showed 0.00 Anyone know of any meters like this for the rest of the stuff I am supposed to be checking? I dont own a test kit and this is my first ever water test since the second week of owning my first tank last January.
+dapettit
The meter has latitude of +/- .04. If you make your own RO/DI water test it (it should always be zero) if your reading is zero then your orginal reading of you tank is correct. If the Ro/DI water reads anything but zero like maybe .02 then zero = .02 I hope this makes sense.
joshman1204
That makes since but I dont make my own RO water. From what I have been reading online it seems like this meter is very accurate for almost everyone that is using it.
Robb in Austin
Do you have an algae problem? If so, that's why you are reading zero; the algae is sucking it up too fast. Therefore; you NEED the BRS reactor!
+mcallahan
The Robb speaks wisely.
