  1. All that were on the glass or return lines are claimed. After the new build is up and running, I may have some more available.
  2. I need to thin the anemone garden. Several have wandered to the overflow glass and the return lines and *should* be easier to pull out if wanted. $ depends on size. $50 - $100.
  3. Reviving the Green Slimer thread. I have fragged the entire colony into some very large branching pieces and some small pieces.
  4. Yup - none fragged, but plenty I can cut to order
  5. @HarleyGuy's giant slimer wouldn't fit in the 5g bucket, so I had to cut a large piece off. It needs a home! Still need to thin this out so there's plenty for sale still.
  6. Korralin C1502 calcium reactor with a 1048 Eheim recirculating pump. Has been supplying alkalinity, magnesium and calcium in a 240 gallon system for several years without issue. Taken offline today. No leaks or other issues. $275 obo
  7. My Green Slimer is outgrowing the tank and needs thinning to share light with other inhabitants. Have a few pieces that broke off during tank maintenance. 3" and 5" branching pieces for $10 - $20. Frags cut to order for reasonable offers.
  8. While I love my nem garden. it's time to thin the herd. I have one Rainbow and one Sherman Rose BTA who have moved to the back glass and *should* be fairly easy to remove. Each is about 6" - 8". $70 each / $120 for both OBO.
  9. Wavebox is back in action with the magnet, @Timfish. Thanks! Still looking for more flow if anyone has an mp40 that needs a new home. Keep an eye n your equipment. This magnet wasn't rusting 4 months ago when I last cleaned out the wavebox. Was on the back side in the corner where I couldn't see it. Found it looking for possible reason for some stn on more sensitive SPS colonies. Not sure if this was the cause, but it's out.
  10. I think that top magnet is exactly what I need. I will pull it apart tomorrow to make sure I can clean it up and swap it out. I'll call you tomorrow, Tim! Still looking for more flow if anyone has an mp40 or other large powerhead.
  11. My Tunze wave box magnets are rusting. Looking for either a replacement wavebox, wavebox case/body (I can re-use the pump if you don't have one), or equivalent wave solution to replace it. Up for anything big enough for a 175g. Tunze wave box, MP40s, Gyres, ...
  12. Gee... Thanks for ID and really helping out guys...
  13. It could be Pocillopora damicornis. Could be Seriatopora caliendrum or Seriatopora guttatus. Which sells for more $? 😀
  14. I have several small to medium frags, mini-colonies, and large colonies of Purple Milka Stylo and Green Pocci. Fragged from large colonies over a month ago, encrusting and growing nicely in the frag tank. One of the milka stylo was even growing up the glass where it was leaning for 2 weeks. Some frags have more than 6 branches, multiple growth tips, and are about 6 inches tall. $10 - $60 I'll hang onto a couple for my display tank, but otherwise, everything pictured below is for sale. Open to trades of equal value if I don't already have something.
  15. $80 or Trade for SPS, LPS, zoas Approximately 6-8 Inches. Split off about six months ago and has wandered to the other side of the tank next to a powerhead. It is on the glass and easy to grab, finally.
  16. Got a decent FTS using my daughter's iphone.
  17. Thanks Tim. Those ricordia I got from you are fat and popping! Planning on posting info about the phosphates and sponges research we did. I may post it here or in an old thread I have in the chemistry forum.
  18. Thanks. Yup - Both softies and sps are doing much better. The ridiculously high NO3 (30-ish) and still limited PO4 (.03 on a good day) is causing the SPS to be paler than they should be. Full shot... I have some, but they aren't good. With a bowfront that has a huge window on the opposite side of the room and a 65 inch TV on the other, it's hard to get an angle without at least 50% reflection. I'll try tonight after the sun goes down. Here's a blurry weird angle 1/2 tank shot along the front that looked better through the phone. Even with that extreme angle, you can see the curve reflection on the far left.
  19. Five year update and pictures... (Actually - 4 years and 364 days to be exact) The 175 gallon bowfront went through a slow period. Most SPS would fade and eventually die. Zoas receded and some disappeared. Had bubble algae taking over even though I would clean out what I could get off rocks easily and performed weekly water changes. I sent in an ATI ICP test and discovered I had 0 phosphates and high nitrates (~20-25). Pretty much everything was undetectable except calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity, thanks to my calcium reactor. I was starving all of my coral. I was surprised to find high nitrates because I run BioPellets. Discovered that Nitrates won't come down without phosphates. To increase them, I've been dosing phosphates via Neo-phos and Spirulina powder. To maintain .02 - .03 phosphates, I have to dose phosphates daily. Nitrates have only gone up. I've tried feeding less, biopellets, and Reef Biofuel as a carbon source, but they aren't coming down. Everything is doing GREAT with the increased phosphates, though. The Bubble algae is GONE! Vibrant WORKS! I used it for about 8 weeks. Nothing changed until about week 6, then poof... they were gone. I put some in every other week as maintenance. Bad News... I am pretty sure I killed my clam, Bertha. She was over a foot long and tall. I got it 16 years ago when it was only 3 inches and dumped at least 10 complete calcium reactors worth of media into it. A couple days after it died, I discovered exposed, sizzling wires on my skimmer pump. So.. I am pretty sure she cooked for a week or so as she died. Made me sick to my stomach. I may put the shell back in the tank and try to get a bunch of my Shermans to host inside... Current Photo Dump - All shots taken with my old OnePlus 3t - pro mode with no filters.
  20. Exactly what I hoped this post would do! For the most part, it seems to be working. That and to get the discussion going and bring some ideas to the table on how we can make it useful to everyone - new/young and old reefers.
  21. @Dogfish - Yup - I absolutely agree that it is the "Facebook effect". I rarely post on FB because of the number of people it reaches - specifically the number of companies who end up with that data in addition to my friends and their friends and use it for marketing. 'Like' one of the members posts that included a product mention and now, everywhere I browse, I'm prompted to buy it and many similar products. I guess It's a personal privacy preference that seems to not be an issue for many. The quick answers and instant gratification on FB helps the individual, while posting here and getting answers allows us to look up the person, see their experience level, and most importantly lets others find solutions in the future. I do see the advantages of buying/selling, quick picture posting, and promoting your business/services on FB, however. Perhaps there's a way to push/pull forum posts to/from FB and bring the two together @mFrame? << another classy call out!
  22. What can we do to get the community back and get this forum rollin again? While I have not contributed as much in past year or so (mainly so I didn't buy anything!), I've checked in occasionally and I'm bummed to see the lack of activity compared to what it used to have. I am paying more attention to my tank(s) lately and therefore checking back to these forums more often. I see many new faces - experienced and new reefers - on the FB page(s) who are asking questions and getting answers. This would be a better ...forum... for that activity than FB. It offers better organization via categorization and most importantly is a better research and learning tool via archives. Many of the conversations and questions I see on FB have been covered extensively here and many that haven't, should be, in my opinion. Let's make this more than @FarmerTy personal area to show off! Ideas? Am I just old and FB is the new way? From what my kids tell me, FB is for the old people. I hear @Photodude (jakedoza) has been working to get TOTM since it was last presented in 2010. Let's give him that chance!
  23. My 3 AI Hydras (non-hd) are hung with 18" AI EXT rails. I want 12" for better overlap and less par in the ends of my tank. They are pretty much discontinued and stores that still carry them seem to have all lengths other than 12".
  24. I am getting params back in order and need more coral to get nutrient consumption/needs up before starting a new program. I am looking for larger colonies or frags of cheaper and hardier sps, zoas, and palys. If you have large colonies of Birdsnest, common zoas, etc, let me know. Again - colonies or large frags preferred. I'll even take some 'trash palys' if they are on their own little isolatable island.
