    Hi There!

Welcome to ARC! Lights on a timer is a must...That was one of the first things I bought before I stalked my tank. As for the anemones I must tell you that I have had 2 die as well. But, I do have 2 in my tank now. I know they can be sensitive to changes in water/tank conditions. I just did a water change and on of my anemones decided to crawl to the back of my tank behind some rocks.
  6. Yea...IMO...don't think I would use scissor's...ekk! I have a exacto knife kit I purchased at Hobby Lobby. It works great and has different size/style blades for fragging!

Thanks Hamp! Looks good under my Lunar!
  8. I have cut mine before they are usually no problem if that is what you wanna do. Usually glue them to something. Gel superglue works great!
  9. I can be kind of obsessive when it comes down to taking care of my tank. I still need to get a better handle on my cleaning. I have been thinking getting some more clean-up crew. Probably do another order on Reefs2go. Having problems keeping my sand clean. It becomes all hard. I am guessing that is detrieus that is making it like that. Still haven't had any luck creating photo albums in my gallery to upload some of my pictures. What am I doing wrong? Keeps telling me that I am not allowed to post images in this category so there is no reason for you to create an album in it. Did manage to get signed up for the ARC. Guess I missed my first meeting which was last night. Too bad I've been working nights. Will try to make it for the next show! Looking forward to the discounts! Also, I have a few frags that I fragged a couple of weeks ago. I was thinking about trading for new stuff to add to my tank. Guess I should get some pics and post it in the forum!
  10. I have a 40 gal reef tank with almost 20 gal sump and starting to introduce some of the harder corals to maintain. I am wanting to learm more from water chemistry and what kind of kits to monitor Calcium and I think hardness. I have just begun to learn these parameters and need to study how to maintain them and what are the better kits to use and to avoid to monitor them. Also, I was wanting to upload a picture of my tank but, it seems it will not let me create a new album due to: The following errors were found, please correct them: You are not allowed to post images in this category so there is no reason for you to create an album in it One more thing is that if you join ARC you get 10% off some of the local shops...if that is so please sign me up. I have purchase several items from River city. Thanks and Happy Reefing! Richard
  11. I will stop at River City tomorrow for the order/purchase of the overflow supplies for my tank. I also checked out the 30 lbs free shipping. I think I might go with 30lbs from there and look maybe at some other vendors as well. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket. Does anyone have any other suggestions for the live rock? Also, I am looking at purchasing a sump pump. I was looking at the Model 3 MAG Drive pump from Danny. I heard they are reliable pump and a good choice.
