Tim was a great friend and a good guy. He got me my first interceptor pill. He called me right before spring break to tank talk.. He was considering shuting his tank down but I told him to let it be. RIP Tim, Nam Mo A Di Da Phat.

great topic..... At 23 I was lost also with nothing.. Bumming off my girlfriend (now wife) meal ticket at Jester just to eat. Barely making it at UT almost quit but forced myself to finish with low GPA. I am now a ME going on 19yrs at Lithonia Lighting. I have design lighting for HPS, T12, MH, T5 and LEDs. My stuff is hung all over the place Lowe's, Home Depot, Empire State, toys r us. All I can say is enjoy life, hang in there, be good to your supporter, and do not feel bad if your job does not pay well. Just try to do the best you can and don't stress over $$ to much.

ok thanks. I will leave it alone and will not mess with trying to glue it to anything. I did some more research and these guys love light and flow.

I got a pretty nice piece at the meeting this pass weekend. Its not aquacultured so hope it lives-probably maricultured. (I'm guessing because of the large size) Is about 6"x4" with multiple branches. My first tabling acro. Since its tabling, no stem- how do I mount/glue it? Do I just lay it on a flat rock and call it good? thanks long

Careful with 6-line wrasse. I had one in my 90 and he went after almost everything that I put in the tank that was smaller. (mandarins,gobies,scooters, etc...) Maybe I just got a po fish....

Thanks for the tank Steve. My son can't stop talking about it. He is still asking me when can he put the corals you gave him in it. I am looking forward to seeing you guys again to pick up some more frags to fill this baby up. Will post tank build in the "do it yourself" section sometimes this week. I got tank on stand and water fully loaded right now. Now searching for pump,protien skimmer,live sand and rock. Man... starting a new tank from scratch is exp$$$$!

Hello. I bought this tank a year ago but upgraded to a 75gal. This tank (Marineland) was used for 6months and is now in my home theatre emptied. The back is drilled 1" nipple on each side, comes with reflector retrofit kit for 2 39W T5 and 2 39W CF lamps, also have the original deluxe light that came with this tank. The back ground is painted dark blue. I did not buy the stand for this tank since it was too small for any sump setup. I am asking $150.00 (obo) which is a lot less then a stnd 46GAL bowfront. thanks for looking. lulu [email protected] 512-913-5700

He's got pop eye. I am going to leave him alone and see if he can pull through. I diverted all current away from him so there shouldn't be any stress. thanks for helping..

I have done somehting similar to my current canopy setup. I bought a 6L T5 fixture and just used the interior guts as the retrofit kit. This was lots cheaper then buying three seperate 2L T5 retrofit kit. I place the ballast on the long sides of the canopy (one on each side or weight distribution). I have large vent slots on the back of the canopy and 1.5" dia. holes on top to act as convection. You can actually feel the convection process by placing your hands over the dia holes. So far 75 gal. tank is running great w/ no chiller.

The tanks seems at peace since none of them are showning signs of stress. Their bodies and fins are not scratched up. I also have a cleaner wrasse that is helping out a lot. I am thinking of upgrading to a larger tank but have to wait and ride out this economy problem. Do you think I should catch him out for now to avoid getting the other fishes sick? thanks.

I have 2 year old 75 gallon reef tank with 5 tangs,some anthias,a couple of green chromis and other reef safe fishes. I am running sump with aqua C 240 as the protein skimmer. The tank has about 200lbs of live rock. Yesterday after work I notice that my "Nemo" (as my kids call him) eye was bulge on one side. Today both eyes are bulged. Do you guys know what is causing this problem? I have owned this guy for over 1.5 years and he eats well. I hope its not contagious to where my other fishes will get it thanks Long
