This is my 28 gal. jbj nano. Sorry for the dark pic. Lights already shut off. I did have a slight phosphate elevation at first. It was .25 for before water changes. This was dry brs pukani.

Ordered the stuff last night and will hopfully be here soon came out to 8.75 with shipping.

There are links at the bottom that you can order the parts from and its very cheap even with the shipping all you need is an old ac adaptor and you are good. each led is 20 to 30 cents. resistors are 5 cents each and the holders(for profesional look are 8 to 10 cents. So for 5 bucks you could have some awsome moon lighting. I will be doing this myself and will post some pics of the build.

I really don't know if that is the reson for the diatoms but my tank has been running for about 8 months now so I'm pretty sure its established

its my opinion that the pulverized limestone is really some messy stuff. You will have to wash the stuff many times before it can go into your tank. I have it in my tank and am currently thinking of removing the stuff from my tank to go bare bottom I keep having diatom problems and am thinking that it might be the reason. If you are wanting to buy some and cant find it I have 3 more bags sitting in my garage that I will sell u for what I paid for them. (5 bucks each) Good luck.

In the last week I set up a qt with my tang in it and the water was about 66 and I put a heater in set at 78 and the temp went up slowly and the tang seems happy. So I would just put the heater in and let it go to work.
